Dennis W. Sindel, DDS
Dr. Dennis W. Sindel earned a BS in Psychology from The Ohio State University in 1978. He then immediately enrolled in OSU's College of Dentistry graduating in 1981.
After graduation, he joined the United States Naval Dental Corps as a General Dental Officer holding the rank of Lieutenant.
He practiced General Dentistry for 7 years starting in Camp Lejeune, NC, transferring to Naval Base Subic Bay, in the Republic of the Philippines, then moving to Naval Base Charleston, SC.
In 1988 he was accepted to the graduate program at the National Naval Dental Center in Bethesda, MD.
Dr. Sindel graduated in 1990 with a certificate in Prosthodontics (one of the seven recognized specialties in Dentistry.)
His final duty station was as Prosthodontic Department Head at the Naval Submarine Base Groton, CT. In August of 1993, he joined Dr. Bruce Elliott at his current location in Waterford, CT. His scope of practice includes all phases of Prosthodontics (crowns, bridges, veneers, implants, partial and complete dentures) and some general restorative dentistry. Besides practicing full-time, Dr. Sindel teaches one day a week at the University of Connecticut School of Dental Medicine in the graduate Prosthodontic Department.
Also, he has been the lead author of two published dental articles. Besides teaching at the dental school, he has lectured numerous times locally and as far away as Limuru, Kenya to groups of missionary dentists and physicians.

Dr. Sindel has been the Chairperson of the New London County Peer Review Committee for the past 8 years. Dr. Dennis Sindel has been married to the former Amy Bricker of Shelby, Ohio since 1982 and has a daughter Rebecca and a son David. He greatly enjoys golf, hiking, biking and traveling as leisure activities. His travel goals are to visit every state in the United States and every continent of the world.
Lloyd McDonald, DDS
Dr. McDonald is a 1979 graduate of Case Western Reserve University School of Dental Medicine. He served on active duty in the U.S. Navy Dental Corps for 24 years retiring with the rank of Captain.
After practicing as a dentist for ten years, Dr. McDonald went back to school full time for two years in an advanced training residency program at the National Naval Dental School, Bethesda, MD earning a certificate in Comprehensive Dentistry.
He is a Diplomat of both the Federal Services Board of General Dentistry and the Certifying Board of General Dentistry.
He also was awarded "Mastership" status in the Academy of General Dentistry after completing over 700 hours of additional education and passing two rigorous written examinations.
Less than one percent of general dentists have achieved this level of advanced training.
Dr. McDonald continues to maintain his comprehensive skills through continuing dental education.

Dr. McDonald grew up in southeastern Massachusetts. He graduated from St. Anselm College in Manchester, NH with a degree in Biology.
He is married to the former Josephine "Josie" Jones of Westford, MA. They have three children; Mary Jo, Colleen and Alex. He is active in the local community of Gales Ferry. Sailing on Long Island Sound is his primary hobby.
